When you use Openedu AI, we collect:

  • Account information: Name and email address provided via Google Sign-In
  • Learning content: The questions, documents, and materials you submit to the service
  • Usage data: Number of questions asked, tools used, timestamps, and basic analytics

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the AI learning and work assistant
  • Process your questions and requests through our AI system
  • Track free usage limits and manage subscriptions
  • Send service-related communications (no marketing without consent)

3. Your Content

The questions and materials you submit are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI to generate responses. We treat your content with care and confidentiality. We do not share individual content with third parties. You may choose to make content public within the community feature, which is entirely optional.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth: For sign-in authentication
  • Anthropic Claude: For AI-powered answers and content generation
  • Neon (PostgreSQL): For secure database storage
  • YouTube Data API v3: For curating and displaying educational and tutorial videos. All video content is accessed via official YouTube APIs and embedding features. We do not host or store any video files. Revenue from video playback belongs entirely to the original copyright owners. See our Legal Notice for full details.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored securely in our database.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and learning data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Opt out of any non-essential data processing

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
